The Let's Clear the Air - Air Education Resource Kit is for educators to design, implement and evaluate air education programs that increase community actions to improve and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  It includes resources listed below and a listing of air themed resources about air education, air policy, air science, behaviours, eduction support and social research.

The full kit, sections, appendixes and promotional materials are all available in this section. Please note many of the downloadable items in this section contain branding for the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water. Many of the functions of this department are now controlled by the Office of Environment and Heritage. Please phone 131 555 for more information before using these resources.

Councils as well as other government, non-government and private organisations (for example schools, environment groups, companies) are welcome to download and distribute Let's Clear the Air materials. Everyone has a role to play in improving air quality.

Section highlights

Section 1: Air quality in NSW - provides an overview of the causes and sources of air pollution in NSW. If you are designing a program, it will help you identify the air quality problem and focus for your program.

Section 2: NSW Government and air quality - describes how the Clean Air, Healthy Communities program fits within a national, state and local policy context to improve air quality. Use this section to determine how your local initiatives can build on existing programs.

Section 3: Social research and air quality - highlights social research findings from DECCW and the Australian Bureau of Statistics about community knowledge, attitudes and behaviours in relation to air quality. The Air Education Resource Kit style guide is a duplication of Section 5 of the resource kit and includes program elements, a key to action icons, typography requirements, colour requirements, mandatory logo requirements, supporting imagery and program material guidelines.
